It’s the only comedy short film in this year’s lineup. “Boost of Love,” stars Deborah Childs, John Schmede, Emily Brown, Sean Michael Christian, Susan Ryles, and seasoned film and television star/Mentor, Tommy Ford. This talented collaboration of actors and first-timers successfully show that you can never be too old for the sappy sweet stuff.

Written by first-time SAG writer, Konahe Jernigan, “Boost of Love” offers a light hearted revelation about the often overlooked emotional journeys among the elderly and seniors. At any age, we can find ourselves depressed, jaded, and reawakened… and of course, we can find ourselves in love. The main character James, played by the talented, John Schmedes is forced to make choices that will give him the instant gratification he yearns for or a life of foreseeable loneliness. Konahe’s got love for seniors and offers us a tip to spread the love. She expresses, “Something as simple as helping with groceries or saying ‘hello’ can go a long way.” We’re sure this film is bound to head in the same direction.

Digital filmmaker and Producer of “Boost of Love,” Marques Trusoul wants you to walk away from this film wondering how on earth the team shot this film in only one day. Trusoul loves a challenge, it was one of the main reasons he wished to tackle this film and his all-star team really scored. First-time comedy director, Roxzane T. Mims was a little apprehensive about guiding a comedy but stepped out of her drama comfort zone to bring out top notch performances from her actors. Mims states in Rolling Out Magazine, “It’s a sweet, make you giggle, shake your head, and walk away with a big smile romantic comedy.” Mims can add another credit to her list of talents. Directing Comedy… check.

One of the most amazing assets to The 11Eleven11 Project, is that each film comes equipped with industry mentors- Standard. This crew was lucky enough to score film/television star, producer and educator, Terri J. Vaughn and business partner Cas Sigers Beedles, also a successful producer and writer.

Laugh out loud alongside this awesome cast and crew on 11/11 as they premiere their film in addition to the other talented 10 at The BronzeLens Film Festival screening of The 11Eleven11 Project. You can purchase tickets here and meet and greet this awesome cast & crew at the post-screening reception. See you all very soon.

Ever wonder why good girls tend to fall for the bad guys? Maybe its the excitement, the sense of forbidden love, or the feeling of stepping on the wild side. The 11Eleven11 Project’s comedic film, “Nice Guy” explores this phenomena. It reveals the story of two main characters, Dan Newman played by Montrel Milller and Sharon B. Good played by Valerie Sue Love, as they search for love and self identity. Dan Newman is your typical nice guy who cannot seem to win with the ladies or generally in life. In sad desperation, Dan seeks professional help from a relationship psychologist, Dr. Leroy Brown who boisterously calls himself, “The Baddest Doc in the whole damn town,” and is played by actor Miguel Nunzez Jr. (Juwanna Mann, Scooby-Do). Dr. Brown however, is not your typical psychologist, as he prides himself as being mainstream and unconventional. Dr. Brown ultimately transform Dan into a “bad boy” and teaches him tactics to try to conquer the heart of Sharon B. Good. When Dan begins to fall for Sharon, several events unfold that causes both of them to learn some important lessons about themselves.

Seasoned actor, Miquel Nunez Jr. played an integral part in the film, “Nice Guy” not only as a main character but also as the film’s mentor. With a history as colorful as his professional career, Nunez brought refreshing comedic ideas and artistic direction to help the “Nice Guy” crew successfully completed their project. In an interview with Rolling Out Magazine, Nunez stated that it was, “the team and the entire program,” that drew him to join The 11Eleven11 Project movement.

You’re probably wondering what’s with all the friggin’ number “11’s” or “Eleven’s” floating around your weird movie friends’ social media pages. Well, we can explain. It’s sort of a magical number to us, but most importantly, we’re launching one of the biggest film movements EVER and we sort of want you all to be there.

Let us rewind approximately, oh say, 11 months ago. A gang of 33 film makers were taken on a whirlwind adventure to create 11 SAG short-films under the direction of really cool master instructors, all within a super strict time frame, limited budget, grueling shooting schedule and a heck of a lot of Red Bull. We bring you, The 11Eleven11 Project™ and it’s pretty sweet.

This freshman class of 11 writers, 11 directors, and 11 producers, were arranged in 11 mini film crews to produce 11-minute shorts, complete with their very own awesome celebrity mentor to star in each movie. We proudly admit that our “Junior Crew” earned bragging rights for being the only team to produce their short UNDER budget and ON TIME. Not bad for a 13-year-old writer, 16-year-old director and 14-year-old producer. After weeks of intensive training involving writing, casting, shooting, editing, marketing, and (sometimes bleeding, sweating, and crying), these fine folks are finally ready to show you their goods on an equally fine day during one of the coolest film festivals to hit the peach state, The BronzeLens Film Festival on 11/11@11am (of course).

We’re all pretty big dreamers around here so when we wished upon a star for amazing and selfless individuals to help propel this movement, we sort of overshot our target by a long haul. There are those untouchable famous people from Hollywood, and then… there are our mentors: LisaRaye McCoy, Carl Payne, Miquel A. Nunez Jr., Tommy Ford, Mel Jackson, Rockmond Dunbar, Tatyana Ali, Terri j. Vaughn, Leon Robinson, Christoher B. Pearman, Howard Gibson, Diane Ashford, Rhonda Baraka, and Shandra McDonald-Bradford. Seriously, we love them and you will too.

So do your artsy fartsy film friends a favor and support their flicks at The BronzeLens Film Festival screening of, The 11Eleven11 Project™ so you can see what they’ve been yapping about these past several months. One more thing, bring the kids along to the special 2pm screening of our only children’s film, “The Chronicles of Nathan Gregory” starring 2 first-time youth actors, it’s one of our favorites. Until then, check out the official trailer here and please “like” us at facebook/Studioelevenfilms. Click here for tickets and for all things BronzeLens, visit www.bronzelensfilmfestival.com.

We love you.
